I was taught that you can use “go out with” means only dating. Is it true?? I thought that meaning was only I go outside, so I used this word many times when I sent texts to friends. I’m embarrassed.

Grammar:Past Modal Verbs

・should have done:regret, past advice-criticism
・could have done:past possibility
・would have done:past willingness, 3rd conditional
➡could/would :it depends on context…

I wouldn’t have done it.→grammar is ok but it’s not popular way
I couldn’t have done it.→it’s better

If I say
“I should have done that”→it means “regret”
”You sould have done that”→”advice, criticism”

I’ll post this blog though it doesn’t finish the class yet this week because if I don’t post it, I can’t review it on my phone when I want to check it.

・I wish I had done:imaginary situation and past
“If only I had done” is the same as “I wish I had done”, but not normal way

・I wish I was / If only I was:imaginary situation and present
・I wish I could do / If only I could do:ability and presentt
