今日のTOPICはRESTAURANT

今日はいつもの先生だったので宿題の確認から始まりました。
昨日はリーディングとライティングでしたが、今日は文法とライティングがメインでした。

check my homework (宿題の確認)

I chose 5 words.

①attractive(adj):魅力的な　⇔unattractive
It means
good-looking, especially, pleasant, interesting
ex.) Tongue twisters are attractive activities to me.

②promptly(adv.):遅れずに、すぐに
It means
without delay, at correct time, immediately, on time
ex.) I turned off the alarm and promptly went back to sleep.
⇒あってるけど、promptlyはその時間までに学校に行くとか、on time の意味で使うほうが一般的よ。

③appropriately(adv.):適切に⇔inappropriately
It mean
correctly or suitably for a particular time, situation or purpose
ex.) I’m expected to dress appropriately as nurse in a hospital.
⇒adjectivceならappropriate、appropriate attireとか。形容詞のoppositeはinappropreate。easy~。

④institution(n.)組織
It means
a large organization
ex.) I want to join an international medical institution in the future.
⇒very common!!

⑤approve(v.):認める
It means
to officially accept a plan
ex.) The language school approved my admission.
⇒adjectiveにするとapproved。pastも一緒。
ex.) Students enrolled in approved courses in my institution.とか。

vocab check のあとは、ピーターパイパー（早口言葉）のチェックがありました。練習していたのは一昨日なのでもうできない～と思いながら発表。レベル３のスピードで発音NGでした(笑)悔しい・・・一昨日はもう少しマシな発音だったのに！

次の早口言葉のお題は、She sells seashells(貝殻売り)になりました(*’▽’)

単語

昨日はレストランのレビューでしたが、今日はレストラン自体がトピックでした。
今日はトピックの開示と2単語のみのシェアでタイムアップ。

・AMBIENCE：〈n.〉周囲の状況、雰囲気（≒atmosphere）
– elegant, stylish, luxurious, homely…..
・VIBE：〈n.〉感じ、雰囲気
– warm, socy and casual….
・ANTIOXIDANT：〈n.〉抗酸化物質

あらら、これは昨日教わったatmosphereも含めていったい何が違うんでしょう？？？
明日もわからなかったら聞いてみようかな。
antioxidant はスモールトークのコーヒーやお茶の話題で出てきたnew wordでした。

今日の英作文

・話しながら英語の文章を作るのが難しい
It is difficult for me to make English sentences while speaking.

・英語で話す時、日本語で答えを作ってから英語に変えています。しかし、日本語だと、つい難しい単語や複雑な文章になってしまうので、私が知っている簡単な英語を見つけるのにすごく時間がかかります
When I chat in English, I ~~make~~ think about my answer and opinion in Japanese and ~~change it~~ then translate in English, but when I taught in Japanese, I carelessly use a difficult word or a complecated sentence, so I have to find a simple English word that I know, and I It takes me a lot of time.

・英作文をしたら、Grammarlyというアプリで、文法があっているか確認しています
After writing in English, I check my grammar with the application that the Grammarly.

・無料のプランを使っているので、完璧な修正は受けられないけど、とても便利です
It is very useful to me, although I enrolles in a free plan, so I don’t receive an all amendment.
